in the neighborhood

during the big snow storm between xmas and new years i took some time to explore our neighborhood. the streets were quiet and i was getting cabin fever so i bundled up in my puffy coat and warmest boots and began my quest over to 9th avenue. we moved back in april but with traveling and work and visitors i haven't had a chance to really explore. i love to walk the streets looking in store windows then return home to do more research about places i just saw and discover new boutiques and restaurants to stop in next time. (with our trip to argentina we did most of our shopping online, which is efficient, but does not support the local stores)

on this outing i came across 3 lovely spots on 9th avenue between 16th street and 20th street. had i discovered them before xmas i could have completed all my shopping right there! so many wonderful gift ideas, antiques, creative decor pieces, childrens clothing, etc. if you are in the neighborhood i highly recommend stopping in to say hi.
